What exactly is trans fat?

I have never exactly understood what it really is and why it s so bad for you. Thanks in advance!!!

  1. Trans fats are created by the food companies adding Hydrogen to saturated fats.  The problem is that these fats dont melt or dissolve until the reach a temperature of 106 degrees, and if you know biology, the human body is only 98.6.  The fat solidifies in your blood or body, and CAN create plaque, which can make you have cardiovascular disease, heart attack, or stroke

    They are very bad for us, but hard to stay away from!
