Is this genetic? I would say that I'm rather intelligent and I was really good in school but my hubby is the opposite. He is smart but in different ways-more of a common sensical kind of way and he hated school. Will my kids inherit being smart?

  1. I think one's intelligence and good performance in school depends on his traits and discipline as a student. Though intelligence may be considered as one factor here, the environment where one person belongs to and acquires different values and knowledge also plays a big role. One person could be born intelligent but if he grows up to be lazy and passive, it would just be for nothing.

The CEREBRUM is the part of the brain usually associated with intelligence and some higher functions the brain performs.

I think it would depend on how you would raise your children. Good discipline and values would determine the kind of persons they would become one day.
