  1. Sin must be paid for . God ( being holy, righteous, perfect, and just ) with his unlimited mercy he humbled himself and emptied himself of his glory and became a human being to shed his blood  on the cross to pay for the sins of those who trust and believe in him with their heart. He was the only sacrifice ( payment ) God would accept for sins.

  2. If it was simply a matter of forgiveness that is what he would have done.

As long as we know better than God what hope is there for us?

It does seem a lot of unnecessary trouble to achieve so little, but I gather that forgivness is a by product of the crucifixion.  I think that we can take it that God is not silly.

  3. It is not that God can not overule himself. But if he were to do that, he would not be just. And if he did that, he would in effect be saying that he was wrong, and God is not wrong.

edit-The drink refers to this question being asked many times in the past. Where have you been?

  4. This is the same question I've asked so many Christians. Why does someone HAVE to be sacrificed for God to forgive? He can do whatever he pleases.

It's all wrapped up in that foolish idea of the original sin. According to Christianity, EVERY PERSON, is born in sin, even a baby who has done no wrong to anyone.

Therefore, the only way to be forgiven, according to Christians, is to accept Jesus as the Savior. The question I have is: What if a person dies as a baby? Does God overrule Himself then? Or is a baby who has never accepted Jesus destined for h**l?

I would suggest you all keep digging into these questions and continue searching for the truth.

  5. First of all.. God doesn't lie. And so.. since he said that man will die if they dissobeyed(Gen. 2:17).. then he was going to keep his word. But that is not the only reason.

When Adam and Eve rebelled against God, they challenged his sovereignty, that is, his right to rule. Jehovah could have destroyed them and started over with another couple or forgiven them, but that would not have settled the issue of whose rulership is right and best for people. When satan spoke to Eve through the snake.. he basically called God a Liar as he told Eve that she won't die by eating the forbidden fruit but instead she will be like God and therefore they no longer needed God to live. Keeping in mind that angels were watching.. when satan challenged or called God a liar... it wouldn't have been a good idea for him to just destroy him.. as it would have given some doubts to those that were watching and possibly think that God destroyed them because he may be right.

For example... if you were a teacher and you were teaching a math problem.. but then a student challenges you and says that it isn't the right way to do it, and he knows a better way ... how would you handle it? Would you tell him to be quiet or would you tell the student to prove what he says? I'm sure the best would be to let him prove it, so that you keep your respect and not have students doubt your way of teaching because you were scared of him proving you wrong. same case with God..he just wants to show that he isn't the liar.. but Satan is.. and that man can't rule themself without his help.

Now why send Jesus and not a regular human?

Because a Adam and Eve were perfect and therefore it is necessary to have a perfect man to save us..

The situation is comparable to a kidnapping, in which release of the hostage can be obtained only by a specified payment. In this case, the ransom that can free us from sin and death is Jesus’ perfect human life. At the same time, sending a perfect man, just like Adam was, also helped to prove that being faithful to God is possible and reminds us that we need God to survive. Using any regular man that isn't perfect, wouldn't balance up to Adam and Eve that were perfect. Would it really make sense to have used any person as salvation? We are sinners, and because of that we die... how is it possible for us to save ourselves?

BTW, there's no h**l.. but that is another loong explanation.

  6. i see your knowledge of scripture is limited so

in the OT they used to offer blood sacrifices such as ox lamb etc (the best they had) to God as a testimony to their faithfulness to Him and when they sinned against Him they offered a special sacrifice

there was a prophecy made by God through one of His prophets that basically stated that one day would come the final blood sacrifice for one and all time

but Christ was sent here for more than just a sacrifice He was sent as living proof that there is no need to fear death if God is with you when Christ was resurrected He said why do you search for the living among the dead and he also said oh death where is your sting

so u see it isn't that God had to have a human blood sacrifice it is more that He was proving to us that death of the flesh means absolutely nothing if you are with God Christ's blood was just the last blood God wants from us no more lamb or ox blood just unwavering faith in Him and His Son

so to make it short it isn't that God needed another blood sacrifice it is  that Christ had to come and had to die for us because it proves God's total love for us and His complete control over even death you look for the negative in things try looking for the positive it is a much more happy existence i promise

  7. Well if you think about it, people dont believe in god as it is. Why would they believe he forgave us at all? Especially without the physical visual us humans need to believe in anything.

Plus god, the holy spirit and jesus are all as one, so technically when jesus died, god went threw the same ordeal.

  8. If you are blessed enough to meet the Lord you can argue with Him, but God has rules and God doesn't break rules.  His rule was without the shedding of blood there is no remission of sins.  Jesus was the ultimate and final sacrifice for sin.

Have you ever thought because God is so powerful that He sets rules so even He must work within them?  God could have forgiven us without a human blood sacrifice, but He would be going against His rules and His Word.  God doesn't do that.

  9. The first thing is God can not change or He would not be God.

Secondly, God wanted to get across to us that sin cost. And after human kind had been infected with sin, the only way to pay for that sin and correct the situation was to live a perfect life and since this was impossible for man; God himself had to do it.

Your question is a very good one and even though many will answer it in a similar fashion, it will never really answer your question. But this is the answer God has given us. Why? Because He is God and we are not. In theory, yes, if God wanted to do it another way He had every right to do so. But think of it for a moment, if He did we as rebellious beings would have complained about that also.

Paul in Romans 9:20 said this answering a similar question; "...who are you, O man, who answers back to God?" In other words, who are we to tell God how to run the show.

I think we as created rebel sinners forget sometimes how Holy and Perfect and how distant our minds are from God's.

  10. One day you will realize that God alone is God. He made everything - yes even YOU.

It's HIS universe and HE calls all the shots.

When you become a god then you can too.

    P.S. Don't hold your breath

  11. Why dont you ask him yourself?

  12. *drink*

  13. The mystery of redemption is closely interwoven with several crucial spiritual and psychological factors. To grasp this mystery at least partially, one has first to understand the related factors, namely: (a) What the injury to human nature, which was caused by original sin, specifically consists of. (b) How the devil's will, because of our sinfulness, gained the ability to influence and even enslave our will. (c) How, on the other hand, the love of one person is capable of favorably influencing another person and ennobling him. In concurrence with this, if true love reveals itself predominantly as sacrificial service for a loved one, then the giving up of one's life for him, undoubtedly, is the highest expression of love. (d) Once the power of human love is comprehended, one has to rise to the understanding of God's infinite love, and understand how it penetrates into the believer's soul and, by this, heals and uplifts it. Evidently, all these topics are difficult to comprehend, and redemption will remain only partially understood. (e) Besides, there is another side to redemption which transcends our physical world. On the Cross there occurred a battle between the Incarnate Son of God and proud Lucifer (Satan). Under the image of a helpless body, Jesus Christ concealed His divine nature and by this overpowered Satan and his kingdom of darkness. The details of the spiritual battle between the Incarnate God and the rebellious angels are unknown. Even the Angels, according to the Apostle Peter, do not completely understand the truth of redemption (1 Pet. 1:12). It can be likened to the mysterious scroll that only the Lamb of God was worthy to open and read (Rev. 5:1-7).

Ultimately, the way in which a person perceives the Savior's suffering on the Cross reveals his hidden disposition — either towards good or towards evil. The righteous Simeon foretold this fact to the Virgin Mary when she brought the Blessed Infant to the temple: "Behold, this Child is destined for the fall and rising of many in Israel, and for a sign which will be spoken against … that the thoughts of many hearts may be revealed" (Lk. 2:34-35). Along with this, the redemptive death of Christ, being an event which cannot be explained with human logic, and is even "enticing for the perishing," possesses a revitalizing power, which is felt by the believing heart. Renewed and warmed by this spiritual force, even the lowest of slaves to the most powerful of kings, and the most uneducated of peasants to the the greatest of scholars, bowed with trepidation before Golgotha.

  14. You need to remember that only Jesus' blood has ever needed, so He actually paid the penalty. Jesus is the same God as Jehovah is

  15. "Jesus's blood has some special powers that he could not do without it? or what?"

That's probably the best way I could explain it.

  16. He's a big, bad meany.
