What exactly qualifies emotional abuse as emotional abuse?

I'm curious. I thought I'd ask here since it's way more fun than Moogle.

Emotional abuse can only happen if you value their opinion over your own.  No one can make you feel bad, but you can choose to feel bad.

When someone tells you things that makes you feel worthless or unwanted or like a loser. Usually words that are meant to destroy your self esteem or self worth.

I'm not sure what Moogle is but I was a victim of emotional abuse and I would not consider it fun.

Emotional abuse is when one person constantly insults, belittles or degrades another person. It happens over a period of time and, for the victim, can be difficult to know that it is happening. .  A single insult is not considered emotional abuse, but a single insult everyday over several weeks, months, or years, is abuse.  The damage caused by emotional abuse can be worse than physical abuse.
