They charge enough for light dusting and vacuuming (thing I could do myself), but they don't wash windows or shampoo carpets. What the h*** are they in business for?

  1. i know i make $490   for about 5 hrs a month isn't america great

  2. Some of the different maid services do different things.  The maid services not privately owned my do more.  When they are privately owned, they can choose to clean, or not clean whatever they want.  Call around.

  3. the professional housekeeper does whatever i ask her to do, for a specific time that she house keeps for me and my family.

she comes twice a week for two hours each time. she cleans the whole bathroom, tub, sink, floor, shower walls where needed, makes beds, vacuums all floors that i ask her to vacuum, polishes furniture, end tables, coffee table, kitchen counter tops, cleans microwave, wipes linoleum floor, kitchen table, makes the beds in two other bedrooms and dusts whatever she can in that two hours. she's a professional housekeeper and has been doing this for me for about 3 1/2 years.  if it's cleaned often it's not all that hard to keep up with.

sometimes i ask her to skip something and do windows.

ADVERTISE WHAT YOUR LOOKING FOR THEM TO DO.

like this is what you expect them to do.  and how much you're willing to pay.        i prefer to pay by the hour.  i found that some people if paid by the JOB start skipping some of the things that they once used to do.  i pay by the hour and they do what they can.  so in two hours i don't expect the whole house to be done, i just want them to give me their best, and this lady does.

i treat her with respect and don't normally try to change her routine.

advertise, even ask around.  that's how i got this lady's name.

    good luck to ya

  4. They do what you request and charge accordingly. If you weren't satisfied with the service you should call the agency, explain that perhaps you didn't understand the process or what to expect, and then go from there.

If you come at them like you are coming on here they won't want to correct your problem (refund or additional services at no cost, etc.,) because they won't want you as a customer.

    Just a suggestion.
