  1. They help distribute special chemicals that can penetrate tinfoil hats.

  2. Those are properly called 'contrails.' That's because they are made by condensation, i.e. water in jet (or piston engine) exhausts that condenses, like fog, then freezes because it's very cold that  high up.

They were first seen during WWII, made by high altitude bombers like the B-17.

Recently, many nut cases have decided they're some sinister plot to do something terrible and renamed them, which is nonsense.

They have no purpose, they're just a by-product of combustion.

  3. You know when you see jets really high in the sky and there is a white line behind them? Those are contrails. They are just condensation trails that engines or propellers leave behind. It is just condensation from engine exhaust, decrease in pressure behind wings,

Actual chemtrails seen behind some aircraft are not ordinary contrails, or so some people think, but are the result of high-altitude spraying of some kind of chemicals for a purpose unknown to the general public. If I made it sound like fact, it's just a conspiracy theory. Some people think that planes spray chemtrails to control minds, cover up alien life somehow, control wheather, etc.

    Contrail- condensation trail

    Chemtrail- chemical trail
