  1. I went horseback-riding in Cozumel, it was great.  Bit of a long drive, but fun to ride through the jungle.

  2. Cozumel is beautiful, we rented a vw bug and toured the light houses they are so cool and the bus and boat tours are awesome, we saw lots of Alligators and eguanas(sp?) your gonna have a great time, the temples are so beautiful too!

  3. I just signed up for a regular beach excursion.  They gave us lunch and 2 free drinks.  It was very close to where the party boat docks.  I believe it only cost 25 dollars.  Pretty good deal if you like the beach.

  4. I've been to Cozumel twice.

The first time I went  my dad and I went on a jungle hike and this past time in July I went to a privet beach called Paradise Beach, which was very lovely and relaxing. The first time my mom and brother went on a catameran snorkeling excursion, they enjoyed that. You can find out about these through your cruise companys website and from the link I am leaving you below.

Also make sure you leave time for shopping. Coz has a great shopping area. You can get amazing deals on jewerly. My favorite store is Los Cinco Soles. They have a ton of neat Mexican stuff and has the best organic Vanilla  I've ever used. Dont worry, it doesn't contain the harmful chemicals that most Mexican Vanillas have in it. We've go though several bottles of it. I add a splash to yellow cake mix, and boy does it make a huge differnce. lol.

Anyways. Coz is nice, but make sure you book your excursion though your cruise ship. You'll find reviews for the three I told you about and many more at cruisecritc.com.

Plus you'll be able to find the exact ship you are on and lots of things about it and maybe even people who will be on your same sailing! its a very nice websight.  my mother is always on it. its a must that you check it out. lol.

Have a great trip. I am totally jealous theres a slim chance  that I get to go on a cruise this year and there my favorite vacations. lol.

  5. For some great ideas, go to CruiseCritic.com, click on "Boards", then "Ports of Call", then "Cozumel".  That's a very easy port to do on-your-own, as long as you're very attentive to the time.

If you just want to relax, take a cab to Chankanaab Park [see their website] or maybe Paradise Beach [also has a website].  I've been to both and prefer Chank [although I haven't been since Wilma went through - the pix of the restoration look great, though!].  There aren't a lot of "sights" on Cozumel - it's a big beach and/or shopping stop.  For the most relaxing beach time, go early and then leave when it starts to get crowded.

    Have a great trip!

  6. Cozumel has many things to offer.  I usually scuba dive while I am there.  If you aren't certified, you can take a 'resort' scuba course.  Many of the companies will also take snorklers on the boat so not everyone in your party has to scuba. One time, I did the dune buggy tour which is a total blast.  You can book via cozumelhomes.com  Also, the beach clubs are pretty cool.  Mr. Sanchos was nice. It has a pretty beach, water sports, snack bar and shopping all in one place.  Cozumel is set up for tourist so everything is easily accessable and most people speak english and the tour vendors are very aware of cruise ship schedules.

  7. I went on a snorkel catamaran tour it was great.  They fed the fish tortillas and they all came around the boat.  The sail boat portion of the ride was fantastic too.  We also went on a snorkel tour that was just down the street from the dock.  It was a very long swim down the beach and back it was fun.
