  1. you are lazy, I know it may not seem fun, but it is. It gets you into shape, it helps your get the aspect of being part of a team, and you get some friends along the way. I have played many sports in my life time and cross country is by far the best. My advice would be to grow a pair and run distance. Life is short run distance.

  2. You need to go to the meet and do your best.

Are you worried that you will not do as well as you would like? Understood. Nearly every runner scheduled to participate in that meet feels like you to some degree.

Go to the meet. Do your best and then decide if running is something you would like to work hard at to get good at.

Your only weapon to conquer fear is courage. Excuses and lies make fear your master.

Good luck - run your *** off.

  3. How about quitting the team?  If they can't count on you to run in competition, there is no reason you should get their hopes up.

The worst thing you can do to your teammates and friends is bail out on them because you don't want to run.  I suggest you quit the team because you don't enjoy the sport.

  4. You need to ask yourself why you don't want to do it.  If it is because you don't like running, then you need to not be on the cross country team.  Find an activity you do like and stick with it.

  5. you can say you have osgood slaughters in your knee. I know you sai dinjuries wont cut it but believe me this def works!!!

  6. well you could say you have some other school work to do.
