What exercise should I do to be ready for high school cheer tryouts next year?

Like to get a great toe-touch and bhs. I have a good cartwheel and round off. Tryouts are at the end of this school year. Thx!

  1. Do straddles! They hurt like heck but the end result is so worth it! Good luck!


  2. im on allstate cheer team and my highschools and what i did for the prep is just practiced my jumps...when your watching tv sit in the toe touch position, stand up and just jump as high as you can...have someone assit a jump so you can feel what its like and workout...i workout one a week and ive noticed a huge difference in my muscle and if you can find a place to workout that has a strecher machine then youcan sit on that and it will help stretch for higher jumps

    as for your tumbling skills, just practice them and make then look good, what the allstate team really liked about me was i had a nice back hand walk over, practice coming up from a bridge and walking down with the wall, a graceful walk over will impress

    try to read up on your simple stuff too, like high-V, daggers, etc.   knowing thoughs and being able to have good postions will help and itll make you look like you want to be a cheer leader

    If you can study up on your stunts thatll help with what theya re talking about when training for stunts

    JUST have fun and show that your having fun
