I need some ideas about workouts that I can do daily to shed some lbs. I don't have a treadmill and I just wanted some simple things (like sit-ups) that have helped you. I do have an exercise bike though! Thanks (:

  1. Sit ups won't help you to lose weight - it's impossible to melt fat off a specific part of your body.  They're good for strengthening your abdominal muscles.

The best thing to do would be to get on your exercise bike or take a brisk walk every day, for about half an hour or more.  Exercise like this which uses lots of big muscles will burn the most calories.  Do some sit ups too - just don't make these the main part of your routine!

Healthy eating (ie no junk) and drinking lots of water are important too.

    Good luck xx

  2. Yes, you are right, you need exercise + a perfect diet.

    I would recommend http://WeightGone.info

  3. dumbells and crunches daily

  4. Here is an overall plan that has worked for me, and for others I know:

Keeping a food journal really does help.  It will give you a much better sense of how much you are eating, and when, and why.

Make a few small changes - walk everywhere, always use stairs instead of elevators, walk on escalators, get up and move around at least once an hour if your work or life in general is sedentary, walk every day, use a pedometer. Walking 10,000 steps a day is a really good idea. Build up to a long brisk walk everyday, or most days.  Be more active and watch less TV and spend less time on the computer.

Start a weight lifting routine. It will help increase your metabolism and make you feel and look better in so many ways. Join a gym. Possibly you can find one that has someone who specializes in weight lifting programs for beginners. Weight lifting will increase your metabolism as well as improve posture and appearance overall.

In terms of diet, cut out or reduce things like junk food, pop, fat, fast food. Eat more fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean meat, fish. Drink plenty of water. You will begin to see changes in your body.
