Question:

What exercises or streches are good for dancers?

I haven't done much dancing recently, but I'm going to be taking some ballroom (lindy hop and foxtrot) and maybe modern dance classes. I have a month or so to do what I can to get in shape (relatively) without getting injured.

So, what exercises or stretches would be good for this?

Thanks!

  1. I take a lot of dancing myself. A good stretch I recommend is when you put one foot in front of the other, then bend down. It feels really good, yet painful, but it helps. Just do the basic stretches, like the butterfly, swinging your arms, having your feet next to each other, then try to bend as far as possible, etc.

    Good luck!!

  2. Lunges (Not Alot to Begin with)

    Ankle Circles.

Any Strech cause Dancing uses most Muscles of your Body.
