Hey. I am going into 8th grade. i was just wondering what color eye make up i should wear. I have eyes that switch on and off. Sometimes they are green, other time they are brown but, mostly they area mix between the two. Kind of like a hazel color. I have light skin and dark brown hair. What color eye shadow, eye liner and mascara should i wear? And any other stuff that would make my eyes standout?

  1. I would wear browns & bronze color eyeshadows, black or brown liquid eyeliner & black mascara.

  2. black mascara is the best for any eye color..   use it correctly to avoid clumping and it will be perfect..  for eye colors you could  use purples, burgendys ( anything with a red or violet undertone.. it contrasts  green)  you could probably be able to use  bronzes too  where you ahve brown eyes aswell.,

  3. I have a similar eye color to you and what I find best is a light bronze eye shadow on your lid, a lighter color such as a creamy white under the brow but above the lid and then make a smushed line of dark brown eye shadow along the lash instead of eye liner, clear mascara works great as well.  You can also get a white/light colored powder and put it around the eye such as on the inside of the face and so on.  You're only in 8th grade so don't over do it.

  4. choosing your colour should really be a factor of all three. but the main factor really is eye colour.

for hazel eyes greens are your best eye shadow colour. to really brighten your eyes try a deep khaki or forest green. brown, apricot, purple, and plum eye shadow will also enhance your eye colour. edgy eye shadow colour favorites for green or hazel eyes are gold, lime-green, really light green, and bright purple.

generally warm tones i.e. earthy, golden etc. will compliment warm skin (yellow based, olive, medium to dark skins). cooler tones e.g. pastels will compliment cool skin tones (very fair, very dark, and light to medium skins).

the general rule is that light shades bring out your eyes and darker shades give them dimension. if you have small eyes, and want to give the impression of larger eyes, you want to stay with lighter shades. if you have large or protruding eyes you would want to use darker shades. keep the basic principles of light and dark in mind while choosing and applying eye shadow colour. dark colour recedes, light colour brings forward. good luck.

    hope this helps
