What eye shadow looks better ?

I have an important evening coming shortly and I want to look my best.

I don't know what colour should my eye shadow be.

My skin is olive, my hair is light brown, my eyes are green and the dress is olive green with light beige lace.

I tried browns but I looked colourless. I am thinking for lavender eye shadow. What is your idea, please ?

  1. Okay, I am going to suggest a few colours, hoping to have picked your right season by your descriptio and whenyou say light brown I am imagining a mousy brown? Not an ash brown? because an ash brown would be beige skin....

    1. A skin toned shadow used all over the eye area, like the base of a canvas before applying more colour;

    2. A pale burnt orange brown (not a cool grey brown) in the crease of your lid, to create a shadow between lashes and brow bone;

    3. and a deep grey with a slight green tinge on the outer edge of the eye witha dark jade/olive green eyeliner and brown mascara. Another thought is a green like the jade stone, that lovely yellow green as the highlight at the outer orner of the eye.

    Of course if you are actually meaning beige skin, then the colours would be....

    1. Skin colour all over again,

    2. A mid pink brown in crease;

    3. Turquoise or shimmering Wisteria on the outside eges of lid.

    Liner would be Jade green again or an eggplant colour and navy or brown mascara.

    Hope that helps. Have a great night.

    Mel

  2. for people who have green eyes i think purple or a goldy kinda bronze color would be pretty u could even go with this color called i think snow bunny its like an off white with some sparkle!

  3. I think you should do a really intense smokey eye with a gold highlight! Golds go really well with olive skin and green eyes.

    Browns would be a really neutral look aren't eye catching at night which is kind of what you want if you're going through all that effort.

    Since it's evening you can do a really intense eye.

    I don't think lavender would really compliment your dress. But if you really like it then you can do it!

    Make up is an accessory, wear it, don't let it wear you!

    There are no rules in makeup so have some fun and experiment!

  4. put concealar on your lid before you add the brown shadow, and make sure its matte or pigmented. It really SHOULD show up because Im olive too and it usually shows up on me

  5. i agree with the other answers, gold with maybe a shimmery olive green (like sumptuous olive from MAC). golds browns and deep greens always look beautiful together.

  6. somthing smokey like black or grey or you could try a dark kinda olive green.....mix some gold in it too

  7. An eyeshadow in pink color will give you a very fresh and feminine look...loads of mascara and finely lined eyes will complete the look.

    A lipgloss in nude pink will also look gr8.

    good luck :)

  8. use gold, gold looks nice with green and also use black eye liner

  9. i think gold would look greattt mix gold and brownnn put a darker shade on the corner

  10. MAC sell an orange eye shadow, is is extraordinary and brightens the face without seeming excessively colourful. Its quite unusual and enhances the colouring if applied well on olive or creamy wheaty complexions ..

  11. I agree gold is a good color.It's a great alternative to brown and usually looks nice with green eyes.Mac has a lot of really pretty gold colors .Good luck!

  12. Maybe don't wear colour at all and just make a cat eye look with eyeliner. Gray or light blue might look nice too.
