  1. Source of where water comes from depth, clarity, shade.

  2. The source of the water (a lake or stream)

How deep the water is (the deeper it is, the colder it is)

Where the stream is located (i.e. in a hot place or a cold place)

    Wind (more evaporation for cooling)

    Shade (blocks sunlight)

  3. Depth,shade and airflow

  4. Its aspect ie whether the sun shines on it or not.

  5. The primary source of the stream.  It could be spring-fed or it could begin from run-off from a snow melt.

Also, the distance from its source is a factor because the further the water travels, the warmer it becomes.

  6. People peeing in the stream.
