Question:

What family of wild plant has a white, teardrop shaped tuber/root that grows in the Pacific Northwest?

There are very fine, brownish roots that come off the fat bottom(??) side of this thing. Found in strange place, clean and dry and I must identify them. Haven't found a site on internet which shows pics of all varieties of plants in Washington State. Thanks for all your help.

  1. It used to be called the Lily Family, but it has been broken up. Maybe you have a Camas (Camassia) bulb, or else Death Camas (Zigadenus).
