What features does the platypus share with mammals or non-mammalian organisms

  1. Mammalian:

    fur

    four-chambered heart

    secretes milk to feed young

    warm-blooded

    Non-mammalian:

    leathery "bill"

    lays eggs

    males have a poison spine on the foot


  2. all mammals lactate (produce milk) for there young  as do,s  the duck billed platypus ie; the platypus is a  mammalian egg laying marsupial !!!!
