What features make a golf course "Minnesota style"?

We're doing research on this at work and I can't find much on the internet. What does "Minnesota style" mean in terms of golf courses?

  2. I would think it means tree lined fairways,tight fairways,and very scenic.

  3. I have never heard that term before, but knowing a little about the state (land of 10,000 lakes) I would guess it means a lot of water hazards, and possibly a lot of trees.

  4. i believe its a lot of water hazards, as Minnesota is the "Land of A Thousand Lakes"
