Sometimes a couple months after you make a purchase you say "Oh I wish I would have gotten this feature or added this option..." and I was just curious if you were in the market for a Jet Ski, what is it that you would be looking for? What does your's have that you couldn't do without or what do you wish it had?

  1. There's really not a whole lot to consider. First, how many people do want to be able to ride on it: 2,3,or 4. How fast do you want it to go will decide what size engine to look at. 2 stroke engine or 4 stroke engine. One feature that is nice is adjustable trim. This points the jet nozzle up or down depending on what it is you want to do. Pointing it up will get you out of the water faster from a standing start. Once you get up on plane, you can further adjust the trim to get your maximum speed. Electronically coded tethers are nice also since the craft cannot be started with just any tether. A speedo, tach, and gas gauges are good to have. Some have digital displays that will tell you the time, how many hours of running time are on the engine, and your maximum speed. Make sure that you get a fire extinguisher, rope, extra spark plugs, life vests and a cover. You don't want to get to the lake for a day of fun and find out that you don't have the necessities.

  2. Depends on for what kind of riding you need this- normal riding or for competition. You can buy just a stock one, or with modifications - faster, lighter. different types of engine, I don't have any experience on big, familly jetski, I have SeDoo XPL and I won't change it. but this kind of watercraft is rather for racing. It's better to talk to US racers -they are the best - Chris MacLugage, Chris Fishetti, Dustin Farthing, Matt Gondini
