I can't find it on their website. Other than Happy Hoof, which I'm currently feeding, what feeds are approved by the laminitis trust? For my underweight TB who is prone to laminitis but needs to gain weight. Nothing like sugar beet etc. please as he is prone to laminitis! (I have had answers like this to similar questions)

I have a couple of similar questions open at the moment about my TB, I'd be grateful if people could take the time to read them and offer any advice. Thank you.

  1. loads

topspec anti-lam i think is the best

    visit www.topspec.com

    but also

    dengie hi-fi light

    healthy hooves

    happy hoof

    fibre beet-

just check various feed websites and they will tell you whats best.

alternatively, just go to your feed stockist and ask, or look at the backs of the bags

  2. safe and sound is a good one

  3. I'm sure Healthy Hooves is too, but my pony didn't like the taste as much as Happy hoof, nor did he hi fi lite (also lami approved)

  4. Speedi-beet. Its 99% sugar free and approved by the laminitas trust.

  5. check in your local tack shop or feed suppliers, ask someone to assist you in picking a feed that will put weight on my tb, but is prone to lami.

  6. Dengie Hi-Fi Lite, an alfalfa and oat straw mix with a high fibre and low sugar content, has been approved by The Laminitis Trust.

Three feed companies have been successful in obtaining the Laminitis Trust Horse Feed Approval Mark: Dengie Horse Feeds for Hi Fi Lite, Spillers Horse Feeds for Happy Hoof and High Fibre Cubes and Dodson and Horrell for Fibergy, Alfalfa Chaff, Fibre Blend and Unmolassed Sugarbeet Shreds.
