What fight will generate the most money if it happens?

Is there going to be a fight that breaks the sells record set by De La Hoya and Mayweather?

I don't know which fight could possibly top the De La Hoya and Mayweather fight but some fans say that a De La Hoya vs Pacquiao fight could break records i don't think the fight could happen but if it does it probably has a chance at being the biggest money fight out there.

I feel the boxing fans are tired of the boring chess match between De La Hoya and Mayweather. I think they are looking for an exciting fight won by a knock out. That fight would be Manny Pacquiao and Ricky Hatton. The boxing fans would pay for this fight and I feel it can break the De La Hoya and Mayweather sells record. Just my opinion though.

I'm think it maybe tough, but not impossible, once Oscar De La Hoya finally retires. As of right now, I would have to say that something crazy would have to happen like a top welterweight deciding to challenge a top middle or super middleweight.

Mayweather vs de la hoya 2 is going to be interesting for two reasons

1. the fact that floyd mayweather sr is going to train de la hoya against his own son is going to bring a lot of drama to the fight and i am pretty sure HBO is going to make it into something interesting,moreover this is going to be one of de la hoya's last fights and his last chance at retiring on top

2. The second reason this fight is going to sell is because Mayweather has officially become mainstream, prior to their first fight Mayweather was known in the boxing world but not yet completely mainstream,but after the first fight with de la hoya and his stint on dancing with the start as well as his victory over hatton, Mayweather has become a household name in America and this will generate a lot of interest in this fight because both fighters have developed a very large following, moreover there is a strong possibilty that after this fight Cotto will officially challenge Mayweather for the title and that will be another point of interest for boxing fans who have been waiting for this fight for over a year.

I dont think there will be a fight that will beat the mayweather vs de la hoya record for quite some time,

I mean de la hoya is the all time king when it comes to ppv

Mayweather doesn't want to admit this but the Cotto - Mayweather fight would be just as rich as Mayweather - DeLaHoya.
