  1. Mayweather Jr. when he was starting his career was a boxer-puncher at 130. When he moved up he changed his style to a more of a boxer, with his always philly crab shell defense. He still  becomes a puncher when the right opponent is in front of him at higher weights classes. Examples: Corrales, N'dou, Brussles, Corley, Gatti, and Hatton.

  2. power brawler

  3. the SAFETY FIRST style

  4. I would categorize him as a smooth boxer that uses the shoulder roll defense similarly to other good fighters- Sugar Ray Robinson, James Toney, etc.  He has good foot movement, and is a very accurate puncher with exceptionally fast hands.

  5. a marathon runner style...or a getting chased by the cop syle cus he wont stop running...

  6. He is powerful and likes to hit and not get hit

his defence earns on my book an A+

  7. Boxer. Thats what he is. Not anything else but a boxer. He hits and doesnt like to get hit and knows how to pick shots that allow him to do just that.
