I mean, which is better for compressing a file? Is it .zip, .rar, .7z, .iso or anything else you know that makes the file compress to the smallest file size. I have to make The Sims 3 Beta for Testers (it's a source code and it's like more than 2GB the size), Adobe Photoshop CS3 and a 86MB pictures fit into my 2GB pendrive.

  1. .zip

  2. 7z seems best for multiple files, rar seems best for single files.

  3. I would suggest .rar. While .7z files could become just a bit smaller, it's a rarely used format, and not widely supported. .rar files are one of the best compressed formats (if you set the compression level high enough), and a well-known format as well.

However, please keep in mind that the better the compression, the longer it takes to unpack. a 2GB source compressed with the highest level might take up an hour or 2 to unpack, even on high-end computers.
