Not disabled & able to work part time, but having trouble finding work even with years of experience. Receives social security and is having trouble making ends meet. Very independent and would like to downsize to a 1 bedroom apartment in Palm Beach County. That's tough to find too.

  1. I moved from Florida to Kentucky last year, so I'm not sure who I could call to help you. Here is a resource of apartments in Florida that you can call. http://www.findanapartmentonline.com/Flo... I'll bet someone can help you.

Hope you find what you need

  2. you may have to move to another area outside Palm Beam County. There are many low income housing places that take only people over the age of 60 IF they have any openings. You should definately get food stamps..the more expenses you have, the more stamps you should get. There are places here (I don't know about FL) that work with elderly to find them jobs and will ONLY hire elderly to work.  There are always things like food banks and places like that.  If you can find a job, you can make as much money as you want and them not cut your soc. sec.. which is nice.. I wish I could do that.. I can only make $65.00 month..Have you contacted the dept of Human Services and asked them for referrals.. churches can probably help too. Gl
