I would think it depends on the individual people involved.  Many use the left ring finger, same as for traditional weddings.  Others make different choices, and some have no ring at all.

Doesnt matter if its a g*y marriage or a hetro marriage. The ring always goes on the ring finger of the left hand. It is of belief that this finger has the vein that runs straight to the heart, hence why it is worn on this finger.
