I have two oscars in a large 125gal tank. I was wondering which fish are the most compatible with them. They are in the 4-6 inch range right now. Thanks for any advice!

  1. Other oscars,Cichlids or sometimes sharks

  2. You don't add in other Oscars unless you want to get an even larger tank.

I think it's wonderful and my hat off to you for being one of the very few people in here that ask about Oscars that have an appropriate sized tank!!  You just don't know how many times people try to ram a pair in a 30 or 55 gallon tank.

There are a large number of options here, even more so due to the size of your fish.  Silver Dollars, Tin Foil Barbs, Red Hooks, almost any type of Loach or Botia, if you can find some, full grown adult sized Tetra's, Bala Sharks, larger growning catfish like a Pictus are just some of the more easy possiblities here.

  3. A large common pleco is usually a good tankmate - if that doesn't work, not much else will.
