Gotta agree with Joe... can't catch anything near as good as grouper on grouper... well... maybe, but doubtful... if you want to spend more money on bait than you have to, buy shrimp at the grocery store and use that.

what a waste.......grouper fillets are not cheap and they are fine eating why anyone would want to use them for bait is beyond me.....eat them and get something like squid or shrimp to use for bait....go to a live bait store

I'm curious how you came up with the question. I imagine you could catch other fish, but as previously stated, why use grouper? I work in an independant seafood market, our grouper is near $20/lb. Try fresh mullet!
