What fish should I keep...?

Question

20-30 gallon tank... nothing that needs heating. Guess that narrows it down, lol!

Goldfish look like my main option.. is it ten gallons per goldfish, how is best to keep them? Do they like the company of other goldies or do they get stressed and prefer to be one of two, or on their own?

Also, has anyone got any information on keeping lobsters... i'm just interested (not looking to keep them), and more unusual tank animals like snails and whatever, what animals can you keep in a tank exactly?...

2 gallons per inch of goldfish so consider how but they WILL get not how big they are at the time.

They do like other goldfish.

Goldfish or Koi (both are social fish) will be your main options.  These fish are VERY messy and will need a very strong filtration system.  You will also need 20 gallons of water to each fish when they are small (more for the common comets and feeder goldfish).

If you want more of a variety, heater for fish tanks are not all that expensive.
