  1. betta

  2. Well, with a one gallon you won't be able to get much more than a betta--I think even a goldfish would need a larger tank before long.  Maybe you could try some neon tetras?

  3. betta

    snails

    2 goldfish

    neons

    guppies

    sea monkies

  4. Nothing, honestly.

A 1 gallon is extremely cramped. You can get away with a betta, but you'll have to clean the water at least every three or five days. The more creatures you have in a tank, the faster the water gets dirty. So if you listened to the person above who mentioned two goldfish (wtf?) - they would die very quickly from the ammonia created from their f***s. The space is very, very limited. Any animal will do best with a lot of space.

Your best bet would be to be kind, wait, and purchase a larger tank (5 to 10 gallons). This will give you more options and you'll be providing a much better home to whatever fishes you may get. Please consider this, and please do research on whatever fish(es) you're interested in.

  5. a betta is the best fish to have in that small area.you should just get a 10 gallon tank. you can find them super cheap at craigslist.org you wont spend alot honestly. but no matter what you hear, dont buy goldfish for the small tank since those need to be in a huge place and they grow up to 15+ inches.

  6. Puffer will need a good setup. Try a dragon fish

  7. There's not many fish that can handle a tank that small to be honest.  You could try something like Sea Monkeys.  Otherwise, I'd suggest saving up for at least a 10 gallon aquarium.  Just think, you could raise brine shrimp in that little 1 gallon tank to feed to the fish in your 10 gallon.  :)

  8. snails shrimp

    not fish

  9. Hi,

How about a 10 gallon tank, and a filter, and a heater and you can get a beautiful Betta fish. All fish need filtration and enough space to swim, that a bowl can't offer. Good Luck on choosing your fish.

    10 gallon 9.99 at Wal-mart

    Filter 9.00 at Wal-mart

    Heater 10.00 Wal-mart

    Gravel (optional) 2.99 Wal-mart

    Fish Food 2.00 Wal-mart

Also if you get a tank, cleaning it will be much easier then a fish bowl. Your suppose to clean a fish bowl every 2 days, and just imagine a fish swimming around in it's on urine and f***s if it was in a bowl. A tank should be cleaned every 7 days, with 25% of water siphoned out. Remember to buy conditioner drops, to take out the harsh chemicals in your tap water. Being a fish parent is hard work, I hope your ready.

  10. a guppy or a minnow, anything bigge rthne that will crown the tank

actually look up triops or brine shrimp, there cheap, its fun to hatch youreself and they stay small

and goldfish grow huge, they should never be in a 1 gallon tank (like 2ft long)
