Gonna have to make some assumptions before answering.  That you are in North America and that you might know something about swamps.  There are many types of swamp.  Both seasonal and deep water.  So the types of fish will vary.  However, there are generally several species that can be found in most swamps that retain water.

    Common swamp fish species are gar, Lepisoteus spp, Bowfin, Amia calva, mosquito fish, Gambusia spp, Pygmy sunfish, Elassoma spp, Madtoms, Noturus spp, Sunfish, Lepomis spp, and largemouth bass, Micropterus salmoides.
