All five should be habits or practices that we can adopt without much difficulty, and the five you choose should also be the five most useful for the planet.

  1. Play your game but GW is not happening....

  2. Burning fossil fuels

    Using electricity

    Eating meat

    Cutting wood

    Breathing

Keep in mind that this list applies only to the AGW alarmists who can save the earth for people like me who don't believe in global warming.  While they needlessly struggle to appease Al Gore in their daily lives I'll live my life as usual and do as I please.

  3. I wouldn't stop doing anything to fight an imaginary problem.

But here are 5 things you will all wish we would start after oil reaches $200 a barrel and gas goes way past $5.00/gal:

    1) Drill off the U.S. Coastline -- 18 Billion Barrels there

    2) Drill in ANWR --10 Billion Barrels of oil there

    3) Drill in N. Dakota -- 4.3 Billion Barrels there

    4) Build Coal gasification plants in Montana - About a 100 yr supply of oil

    5) Drill the oil shale in Western U.S. - Over a Trillion barrels of oil.

Bonus:  For the love of Pete, build a refinery or 10 while we're at it

And for anyone who thinks it will take 10 years to get any of this oil; well shame on you - this is America and once upon a time we figured out how to get to the moon in less than 7 years --and we didn't  know back then if it was even possible.

  4. Don't eat beef.

  5. NOT GLOBAL WARMING BUT KEEP THIS EARTH CLEAN.

  6. denying

    being denialists

    being in denial

    denying our denial

    denying that we are denialists

  7. Here are 10 things we can do to stop global warming.

Teach your children the truth about global warming. One of the most important things we can do is to educate our children, because there is a lot of misinformation on the Internet, radio and television. Even many teachers are confused about the facts. Here, in a nutshell, are the facts: Carbon dioxide is a greenhouse gas, which means that it lets in light but traps heat. When we burn fossil fuels, we release carbon dioxide to the atmosphere, where it builds up. Scientists predicted a long time ago that this buildup would lead to global warming, and that prediction has come true. The evidence is everywhere – increasing temperatures, melting ice, rising sea level, displaced habitats, oceans becoming acidic, increased intensity of extreme weather events. These changes cannot be explained by natural variability alone.

Don't rush out to buy a hybrid car, but do consider fuel efficiency when it's time to buy. It takes an enormous amount of energy to produce a new car, so rushing out to buy a new one, even a hybrid, is not a good idea. But it is a good idea to pay attention to fuel efficiency when you do buy a new car. About one-third of all energy used in America goes for transportation, but studies show that most consumers pay more attention to the placement of cup holders than to fuel economy. If you are buying cars for your kids, tell them that fuel efficiency is up there along with safety and they have to pay attention or you won't help pay for the gas.

Do buy a new refrigerator. Most new models are a lot more energy efficient than old ones. If yours is more than 10 years old, replace it. You'll save money on electricity, too.

Change half your light bulbs to compact fluorescents. Many people don't like the blue color of fluorescent light or the delay when you turn them on. But most household fixtures contain more than one bulb. If you change half the bulbs in fixtures, your light will still look pretty, and you'll save money and energy.

Think globally, but buy locally. Many products in the supermarket are shipped enormous distances, using lots of energy. Sometimes there is something you need, or really want, that comes from Paris or Australia, but most of the time there are perfectly good products made closer to home. Usually they cost less, too.

Get taken care of locally also. How much time do you spend driving to the gym, to hairdressers, dentists, doctors and the like? I once knew a woman in northern New Hampshire who drove to Boston every month to get her hair done! We all know good hairdressers are worth their weight in gold, but, honestly, couldn't she have found one closer to home?

Ask a local scientist to speak at your school, or you could speak for yourself. Most teachers are trained in early childhood education, and they just don't know very much about global warming, but nearly every major university has a scientist working on climate change. Call your local college or university earth science department and invite their resident expert to your school. Then ask him or her to speak at your church and book group, too. Buy a hybrid. Or easily recycle.

Support your local town, city or state initiative on global warming. Polls consistently show that Americans rate global warming very low on their lists of concerns, so it's not surprising our elected officials do, too. Let your local officials know that you care. Don't listen to the naysayers who say global warming is unproven. It's just not so. There has been a lot of misinformation spread by a tiny handful of people who love the limelight they get for being contrary. (Some of them love the money they've gotten from the fossil fuel industry, too.) But the vast majority of climate scientists have been in agreement for a decade or more about the reality of global warming and its human causes. Scientists have done their part; now it's time for us to do something before things get worse.

Oh, there are a couple more things: If you can, do wrap that water heater. Maybe install some solar panels, too.

  8. Things to stop:

  9. Bob, you don't control the temperature of the Earth, and neither do I.  If you want to tilt at windmills that's your business.

  10. Here's one that is really ironic....

    Stop using your computer.

    Really.

Do you have any idea what happens to your computer when you throw it out?

How much waste heat they generate?

How much energy is consumed by computer use each year?

It's surprising. Computers are one of the biggest polluters in the world.

  11. Club baby fur seals

    displace caribou and Polar Bears

    Drill Like mad

Breathe much heavier to create more CO2,  and finally,

get everyone in America to jump up at the SAME time, and try to knock Earth out of its orbit, and make it further from the Sun.

  12. Ok this is how you change global warming...

You need to have a nice talk with planet earth and tell her to stop the PMS bullshit.  If she doesnt listen, you set up a meeting with God and tell him what big bad planet earth is doing to all its inhabitants.  On a serious note, global warming is a huge farce, but it is probably the most benefical farce ever.  I mean people are doing what they can to make the world a cleaner place.  Thank you oh ignorant masses.  Keep up the good work.

  13. littering

reduce, reuse, recycle and ROT (compost)

limit energy usage - unplug it!

get rid of your 'disposable' lifestyle - no more bottled water!

    go vegetarian

  16. 1 - Accept temperature variations (don't try and keep the house/office at a constant 21 or whatever - put on a sweater, open a window, turn on a fan before turning on heaters or aircon)

2 - Cut back on vehicle use whether it's taking a train not a plabe or cycling to work or walking to the shop - every little bit helps (and you get fitter and save money while at it!)

3 - Recycle as much as possible; if recycling facilities are not available near you, lobby your local government to provide them

4 - Avoid unnecessary packaging; take your own bags to the store, buy loose vegetables, never double bag, unwrap goods in the shop and ask them to dispose of it

5 - Air dry clothes; don't use the dryer (if drip dry, you won't need to iron either - double plus!)

  17. Man was put here to live. Global warming is a farce. What happened  to the ice age predicted in the 1970's by some of today's "experts" that was supposed to happen in 2000 ?
