What flashlight is most popular with police these days?

it used to be those great aluminum maglights that they used to crack heads with. but unfortunately those have become politically incorrect

  1. MAG lights are still in use.  Cops are trained to use them as wepons if needed...that's why they are the standard.


  2. I carry a Surefire 6P LED on my belt. I keep a Pelican 7060 LED on the charger in my car (generally use that on calls and car stops) and carry a 3D Cell Maglight in my bag as a last resort light.

  3. Due to their excellent lighting and battery life, LED lights are often the number one choice.  

  4. The one that puts the biggest dent in some combative jerk's head.

  5. The aluminum Maglight is still the most popular flashlight for police use, due to its durability.

    And no, they weren't made to "crack heads". If you knew anything about police training, you would know that blows struck, either with a flashlight or baton, are done below shoulder level.
