What flow rate is KVO (keep vein open) for saline?

If someone says to give N.S. 1000 ml KVO (keep vein open), approximately how many ml/hr is that? Thanks!

It depends on the facility.  At mine, it's 30 ml/hr. At other places it may be 15 ml/hr

Check your facilities policy and procedures or just ask. As the first answer states it varies. It could be 30ml/hr, 25 ml/hr, 20 ml/hr.
