What flower/plant is this?

is it a weed? my mum dug up some plant she had that was on its last legs but i couldnt save it.. the poor thing died =( but then this started growing, it was growing really fast too and my mum said it was a weed but i would feel bad for just ripping it up i thought i would just wait and see..

so anyways now it has a flower open and a few more flowers coming up i thought i would ask =) i think its really pretty if it is a weed haha

i'm still new to growing things so sorry =)

That is not a weed.

It is a petunia.

I,m  glad you saved it.  Its a petunia  a have in my balcony box and smells wonderfull. You will have flowers all summer.

It's a petunia. They're very pretty. If you pluck the dead flowers after they've wilted, it will keep flowering. Couldn't tell you the specific variety of that one, but it's definitely a petunia.
