Question:

What flowers are in season in late March early April?

My wedding is March 28th and I'm not sure what flowers I want. My colors are Ivory and Crimson. So I want white, ivorys, deep red, and a lighter red or pink to make it a little more spring-y.

I'm thinking about the centerpieces being a cylinder glass vase with some type of flower flating in the water with floating candles...I really like calla lilies but i need flowers that are in season and that are not extremely expensive. Your help is appreciated!

what about using stargazer lilies for the centrepeices?? they are pinkish and look really pretty (and smell awesome!). just make sure to remove those little pollin things as they can stain really bad

  2. In which climatic zone do you live? What's in season in Texas in March is going to be rather different than what's in season in Nunavut.

  3. Talk to your florist. Some flowers are more seasonal in one area than in another. Your florist may also have some great deals on some flowers.

Orchids are at their best in the winter (March). Tulips are also available and they have the lovely "two-lips" in the name-quite romantic and elegant.

Some flowers that are always available are roses, orchids, lilies, and gerber daisies.

  4. I had tight white roses done in a natural birds nest setting with cream and gold binding and pins and it was absolutely beautiful!! and unusual! freesias are always gorgeous and the perfume is amazing from them and lillies are lovely too it really depends how you want the bouquet done to be honest as to which flowers can be used so try and pick a design you like first of all then start choosing the flowers you would like! that way you will get exactly what you are looking for!
