  1. well gerber daisies are fairly inexpensive (sorry I'm sure gerber is spelled wrong).  Did you ever consider maybe having a single long stem rose or something?  What I am probably doing is having some lilies. I'll have 3 orange ones and each brides maid will hold one.  They are a little more expensive of a flower but I won't use as many.  I'm also not doing floral centre pieces. I am going to hget round vases (like shallow and round) and float a single flower in it (stemless).  OR the same vases with a floating candle and some flower petals.  Still involving some flowers but not actually some big floral centre piece.

    Good luck and congrats!

  2. I can't answer your question, but what region of the country are you in? Local flowers will nearly always be less expensive.

  3. Carnations.

They are the least expensive flower (that's why they are my favourite) and they can be dyed any colour.  They also come in "mini" versions to add some variety to the look of bouquets and arrangements.

On a personal note I also think they are really beautiful and "fresh" looking, they are a fairly large and full bloom and they have a very nice fragrant.  They look very Spring-like to me!

  4. Go for anything that is in season. For example, you can get tulips for reasonable prices in winter/early spring- but they are really expensive during late spring/summer.

There are some flowers that are fairly inexpensive all year round- carnations, daisies

Also try flower farms. Roses are generally expensive from florists but are very reasonable if you buy them from a market or rose farm (I got bunches of 12 roses for $10 each from a flower farm near where I live, which would look beautiful as bouquets).

  5. Easter Lilies!!!! Inexpersive.  And if you are doing the wedding yourself they can be found in just about every yard in spring.

  6. Carnations and daisies are probably the least expensive options and daisies are awesome for the spring and are beautiful in pink.  Good luck and congrats.

  7. Tulips

    Roses

    Carnations

    Gerbera daisies

All of the above you can get year round.  When I think of spring....I think tulips, so that would be my first choice.  Carnations are the most inexpensive flower and they can be dyed any color.  Check with a florist as to what they recommend.  They may have a few more ideas than anyone on here.

    Good luck!

  8. carnation and some kinds of tiger lilies

  9. I found this list of flowers that tend to be inexpensive on the wedding flowers planning guide at Elegala.com.

    Here is what they list:

    orange blossoms

    lavender

    daffodil

    daisies

    chrysanthemum

    carnations

roses (due to huge variance in kind, quality and color)

    greenery

Fyi - they also list flowers that tend to be expensive:

    lily of the valley

    calla lily

    orchids

    magnolias

    peonies

    gardenia

    hydrangea

  10. I had gerberas and roses for my wedding and they were great.  I had about 10 gerbera mixed with about 10 roses.  The bridesmaids bouquets were they same just smaller.

Mine were all white, but you could have the b.maids with white and you with pale pink ???
