What foils could go with black hair?

Question

I am asking for a friend who is going through a very rough patch at the moment...and so she's decided to do the whole makeover package to lift her spirits

She has very black, medium length hair and she wants something completely different, maybe a little colour. She has an asian complexion

Is there anything that you suggest?

Im Asian, indian and i have highlighted hair.. i get compliments for it so maybe she could try(: Its honey brown i think.. like just brown really, any lighter would look fake and any darker would blend with the hair.

try a light brown as it will give her hair a textured look.

that yellowy blonde colour that you see a lot of asian people with. it looks good.

Either a dark intense red or a deep purple. Both could look great if done in a subtle way.

Everyone can pull off red. Bring her to a hair salon and a hairdresser can pick out the right color red for your friends compexion.
