In order to be full of energy and be able to keep up the pace when the game is hot and when you are already tired from practice activities the days before. And I don't mean some forbidden substances...I mean vitamins/proteins/stuff :D Thank you!

  1. Well, my dad is a personal trainer and I have asked him multiple times...

BEFORE DURING AND AFTER--lots of water

Before: Eat carbs--easy energy burners like pasta, potatoes, or anything that has a lot of carbs to burn

During: Quick carbs--an energy bar, a snickers bar (lol I like that one), or my coach even suggested a handful of skittles

After: continue to drink lots of water and not a lot of food really, or else you'll get sick and you don't want to fill yourself up...

    Well good luck!

  2. - Make sure you're eating enough during the day. (at least 2200 calories, mostly whole grains, lean protein, dairy, and fruits/veggies..don't rely on quick bursts of energy caused by sugar-laden foods)

    - Before, during, and after the game, make sure you're drinking lots of water.  But not too much to make you sick.

    - Drink Gatorade (if you don't mind all the sugar), or an electrolyte drink mix (found at many health stores) during the game.  It will keep your body from being fatigued.

    - Take D-Ribose (a natural health supplement).  D-Ribose is a natural sugar found in our body that helps produce more ATP (sorry, but you probably don't understand this).  This helps your muscles.  D-Ribose is used as a natural source of increased endurance and energy enhancer.  It can be found at many, if not all, health stores.

    - Eat some protein after your play.  One of my coaches in high school recommended drinking a glass of chocolate milk after practice or games.  Because it's a form of complete protein, and also has some other vitamin benefits.  Or one of the guys on our high school volleyball team used to eat Vector cereal after games.

    - Get a lot of rest.  For both your muscles and mind.

  3. This year are games are earlier so this won't work but i usually ate pasta for dinner.  Or last year our coach made us potatoes to give us energy
