  1. Any can goods would be fine.

  2. Anything canned should stay good.

  3. I would stock up on the canned goods.  My Mom used to can all the time when I was growing up.  When I got married, she sent me all kinds of things to getstarted with- and they were all safe.  Some of the canned goods were in storage for years.  I recently started canning, myself, and have been stocking up our basement.  We figure with all the samonella scares and such, this is the best way to go.

  4. oatmeal,flour,bottled water,canned fruits veggies. nonperishable food

  5. Usually pickled vegetables will last for a very long time.

  6. I lived in Hawaii for years and they had SPAM and RICE in storage for years

  7. Most canned goods will keep for a very long time.  Do not keep cans that are dented for long periods of time.  You can also invest in civilian MRE's Meals Ready to Eat.  Those keep for a long while and are easy to store, travel with , and consume.

  8. Anything canned - beans - rice.

  9. Honey and maple syrup (things with a lot of sugar.)
