  1. Carrots ive heared

  2. i heard carrots do but here is the truth:

Eating carrots won't give you the power to see through walls, but it can help support long-term healthy vision. Carrots, and other yellow or orange vegetables, are packed with beta-carotene, which is converted into vitamin A in our bodies. Vitamin A promotes healthy eyesight, especially at night, and is vital to preventing night blindness. Other vegetables and fruits, such as spinach and papayas, are full of lutein, an antioxidant that helps protect the eyes from damage caused by the sun's harmful rays. Lutein can also help protect your eyes against the risk of macular degeneration and cataracts. Check out our list of foods that can help you keep your eyes healthy for the foreseeable future!

    Lutein-rich foods:

    Kale

    Turnip greens

    Peas

    Broccoli

    Collards

    Tomatoes

    Spinach

    Papayas

    Tangerines

    Vitamin A-rich foods:

    Carrots

    Spinach

    Sweet Potatoes

    Cantaloupe

    Squash

    Apricots

  3. Jackie A gave a great answer! She is correct... basically most fruits and veggies are packed with beta-carotene and/or Vitamin A so basically anytime you eat fruits and veggies you are not only helping your body you are also helping your eyesight!

  4. But don't be confused.

Vitamins and healthy foods that are good for the body will also help maintain the health of the eye...BUT they will NOT improve your vision.

Most of those vitamins only help somewhat IF you have a deficiency in them to begin with. But again...just for the general health of the eye, not cure a visual defect.

Your body can only use so many vitamins, and expels the rest...and no vitamin has ever changed the shape of your eye or the cornea...which is what is causing your visual problem.
