Bitter melon... you can find it in Asian grocery stores or some large supermarkets.

Eggplant can be bitter.

Unsweetened baking chocolate is also bitter.

Coffee, especially when over-roasted... as in the stuff you get at Starbucks.

Endive/Chicory/Radicchio.. is bitter, but used in salads.

In fact thinking of coffee, chicory (dried and roasted) was used as a coffee substitute during WW1 and WW2.
