I've been recently eating more than usual, and have been breaking out, and I have never before. The food seems normal enough, just a lot. What can be the cause?

  2. Food doesn't cause break outs.  That is just a myth.

  3. You might hear that chocolate and all those sweets and soft drinks make people break out but its proven NOT to be true. Its just talk.

No food makes people break out. You might not be washing your face reguarly? Or stopped using a certain product? etc

  5. I don't think any types of food makes you break out.

I think it has to do with either the products you're using or it could be related to stress. My sister breaks out whenever she is even a little bit stressed about a test or something, but I break out if I use a type of product that doesn't work for me.  I guess it's different for everybody. Good luck

  7. Generally, despite what many people think, foods do not make you break out.  There is some research that suggests the hormones found in dairy products and a western diet in general may be a factor, but there are many others.  Hormones, heredity, greasy cosmetics, stress, humid polluted climates, irritation to the skin, chafing, and squeezing pimples all can contribute to acne.

Beware of spending money on products you don't need.  Often fewer products are better.  People often make their acne or breakouts much worse by using too many products.  There really is no quick fix for such breakouts.

There are some very simple and basic things you can do that cost nothing.  Keep your face or any other area affected by acne very clean.  Any mild antibacterial soap will help with that.  Rinse the area well to remove all soap residue.   Drink plenty of water – it really does help to clear up acne.  Eat a nutritious diet and get enough sleep.  A healthy life style will make a difference.  Try to reduce the stress in your life – stress contributes to acne, so also probably the more you worry about the acne and focus on it, the worse it will be.

Probably the most useful and effective things you can do are to apply hot compresses to pustules and cysts and never to pick or squeeze pimples. Playing with or popping pimples, no matter how careful and clean you are, nearly always makes bumps stay redder and bumpier longer.
