  1. Something that does not include chips!!

  2. Nachos are a must.

    Fish and chips (halibut preferably)

    Finger foods.

    Chicken Wings

    Greek and Ceasar Salads

  3. Jacket Potatoes, but NOT with the fillings you get here in the UK.  but with fillings like Beef Stroganoff, Bolognese, Chicken Mornay (white sauce), Tuna and Sweetcorn Mornay, with a choice of sour cream and chives (or chopped salad onion) on top....Ooohhhh yum! Just great for cool UK weather.

I come from Oz, and even over there in the hot weather, these toppings are everywhere - and VERY popular.

Over here, most Jacket Potatoes have fillings with Mayo, which I find gross as Jacket Potatoes are hot... therefore you're essentially having HOT mayo! (errr...)

My suggested fillings above are meant to be hot and saucey, which is great to mop up with a Jacket Potatoes with. If I had a pub, that's what I would do - but it can't be microwave potatoes, it would have to be proper baked ones!

I would also have Fajitas (easy and yummo!!) but you must get some proper caste iron hotplates for them and know (learn) how to do it properly (esp. keeping Beef Fajitas on the rare side, as it keeps cooking while on the hotplate). I worked at a Mexican Restaurant, so I know how it's done to get the sizzle.

Oh and also, Pint of Prawns with  a wedge of Lemon and seafood/cocktail sauce. Sells out at the pub by the river all the time!! Esp. in warmer weather.

    Goodluck!

  4. anything calorie free

  5. Low fat/vegetarian versions of traditional pub foods

Less poncy food, proper meat & two veg =) but just with half the fat

  6. PROPER HEALTH FOOD

  7. sweet potatoes

    potted shrimps

pitta bread  filled with bacon ,egg or beans

    scouse

  8. mousaka, stew and dumplings, steak and kidney pudding, toad in the hole, Lancashire hotpot, macaroni cheese, Singapore chow mein, lamb cous cous, lasagne, spaghetti carbonara, spag bog, nasi goreng and lamb kleftico.

  9. A proper Sunday lunch & not boil in the bag rubbish & Smash potatoe. I'd like to see a proper carvery where you get a full choice without being told you can only have a couple of slices of meat! Roast potatoes cooked in dripping & proper gravy.

Week days It would be nice to be served sandwiches cut from crusty loaves with salad that's fresh & not days old. Most pubs fail to recognise this so get passing trade that fails to return.

Homemade Cornish pasties are my personal favourite. Most pubs buy them in but my wife for example can make one quite easily that tastes like heaven & not bland & factory produced.

    Hope this was of help.

  10. Good ploughmans and its ilk.

  11. Good old fashioned British food, plenty of vegetarian choice as well.

  12. The best Pub meal i've had is a Minted Lamb Shank with Gravy & Vegetables(The Roman Bath).Absolutely Divine.Iam lucky i live in a city that has the best Pub Meals around!!!

  13. Deer burgers, shark and chips, crocodile kebabs, kangaroo pie.

This isn't a joke, I really would like to eat these meals.

  14. HOT CHOCOLATE CAKES!!

  15. spam fritters

  16. Concept of pub it self does not makes any difference in food. What is required is the pub management should not say that this food is only served in morning or evening or on particular day. Pub means pub  attitude right to eat drink and be happy. No refusal of any dish demanded.!!!!!!  I hope I am clear in my views.Otherwise what is the use of going there and empty our pocket for no reason???????/

  17. Gluten free choices!

  18. Traditional pub foods like a good old sunday roast fish 'n' chips or a full english breakfast, not stuff like pizza.

  19. Good simple grub, nothing fancy or mamby- pamby. Pie, mash, sausages, ploughmans, roasts, steak, the normal stuff but well cooked and not too unhealthy or factory-farmed. Local is better.

  20. I'm not sure just more vegitarian stuff

  21. For a pub lunch, it shouldn't to fancy! good food like Sausaga

e and Mash, Steaks, Chips, Peas, Lasagne, Pies etc, you know the stuff

get back the old pub lunches!

  22. most pubs already do my fav - lasagne!!!!

i would like see more salmon tough!

  23. Anything that is not blasted in the microwave for 2 and a half mins. Freshly baked bread for sandwiches would be nice tho

  24. i would like to see salmon,

  25. Bring back the ploughman's lunch. Its a classic but most pubs don't do it any more. Also nice sandwich's instead of rock hard baguettes all the time.
