  2. They eat some strange stuff. All kosher, by the way. They eat stuff like gifelte fish, pickled herring, creamed herring (with onions, sugar and sour cream), latkes, whitefish, knishes, matzo balls.......go into a kosher deli, it is pretty gross.

  5. Jewish people have diets that vary, depending on the branch of the Jewish religion that the person follows. With all Jewish people, they are prohibited to eat any pork. They are allowed to eat fish, for example, the Semi-Vegetarians, but the fish must still have the fins and scales on.

    In the Jewish religion, there are 6 days of fasting (going one full day without eating). They are as follows:

    Yom Kippur, the great Day of Atonement

    The fast of Gedaliah: the day after Rosh Hashanah

    The 10th of Tevet (January)

    The fast of Esther: the day before Purim

    The 17th of Tamouz (mid-July)

    The 9th of Av (end of July or beginning of August).

    Otherwise they are limited to Koesher food.
