I'm making an anniversary dinner for my boyfriend and that's his favorite wine so I want to make a meal that will complement it really well. As far as I could tell from what I've found online already, it would go really well with apple braised pork or a sweet-buttery salmon recipe (salmon is also his favorite, so I'm leaning towards this one!) and creme brulee for dessert, but if this is off or you know something better or that would go with these ideas please let me know! any suggestions for a salad or side dishes would be great. I want to make this an unforgettable dinner... any and all help is appreciated! If you can give me a really killer answer I will pick you as best answer. Thanks :)

  1. Salmon, tuna, swordfish, lobster, duck, roast chicken and sirloin steak all can go well with Chardonnay.

For dessert I would pick up a different bottle for the creme brulee. A late harvest Riesling or a Muscat Beaumes-de-Venise both go great with creme brulee. A personal favorite of mine is a nice Port with a dark chocolate dessert. A bonus is that Port will keep for a very long time, so there is no need to finish the bottle in one sitting.

  2. Salmon would be great, all fish dishes pair well with Chard., So since it's his favorite i'de go with that.
