Hi everyone! I am going to try and go on a diet starting tomorrow. I am going to try portion control, and also try drinking an 8 oz. glass of water before I eat my meal as well so I can get more full. I have never really "dieted" before so I need some help. What foods do I need to cut down on eating and what are some good foods to eat that are also healthy for me?? All advice or suggestions will be appreciated. Thanks!!

  1. fatty foods e.g. fast food, which is full of energy and calories

  2. If it tastes good, don't eat it.

  3. First of all, you are going to need to accept the fact that you are going to be hungry.  There is no way around that if you are serious about actaully losing some weight.

Avoid lots of carbs and fats and sugars.  No fast food.  Lots of vegetables.  No candy.  No cheating.

Remember - you have to make a conscious decision to pick up the fork and put the food into your mouth every time you eat.  What you choose to eat is YOUR choice.  If you choose to eat poorly, you will most likely be fat.  It is that simple.

  4. icecream (unless its low fat and u only have one scoop)

    cake

    brownies

    cookies

(u get my idea about desserts..u can have a small portion if ur craving it tho but dont overdo it!)

also dont eat red meat...its high in cholesterol and FAT.

only eat chicken if its grilled

dont eat foods with a lot of sugar, butter or salt

  5. There are some good and bad answers here.  If you are serious, you need to learn what food does in your body.  Here is a little education:  http://www.squidoo.com/Best_Ways_To_Lose...
