It's now official and I've set myself a diet/exercise plan to loose around 35lbs before Christmas time!

What foods should I for sure stay away from?

And I was wondering what are good ways to kick my food cravings?

  1. Stick well away from baked goods such as biscuts and cake, most dairy like full-fat cream and choclate and anything fried.

  2. Steer clear of simple carbohydrate sources like candies, white breads, junk foods, chocolates etc. Try to avoid artificial sweeteners as it has been proven that it doesn't aid in weight loss rather it will make someone crave more sugary foods. Go for complex carbs like veggies, whole grain products, whole grain cereals, whole wheat bread, fruits etc. Try incorporating HEALTHY sources of protein. A good source of protein are egg whites with 16 calories per egg. Balance you meals. Stay away from unhealthy foods.

About the cravings, I really recommend this link. It's is a one article entry yet it has a lot of information on what food you can eat for very little calories so the craving will go away.
