  1. it's too soon to feed her solids wait till she is at least five months old!

  2. i would up her intake of milk not food her tummy is too Small to cope with digesting foods at the moment, she is very young to be having anything other then formula

  3. I would really suggest speaking with your doctor.  It is not recommended to feed your baby solid food until they are 6 months old.  The story that cereal will make them sleep longer is not true.  I had a 10 lbs and 15 oz baby at birth and never feed him any solids until he was 6 months old and he was sleeping through the night by 8 weeks old.

  4. She's kind of young to start fruits and veggies. Your breast milk and formula provided all the nutrition she needs for now. The rice cereal will fill up her belly to help her sleep longer. When you do start incorporating new foods, start with veggies. If you start with fruits, they'll sometimes reject vegetables because they don't have that sweetness that fruits do. Introduce one new food every three or four days so you can monitor potential allergies. Happy Feedings!!!

  5. none nothing yet, they recommend 6months for to start babies on light cereal......... you dont want to wreck her belly or give her allergies or make her fat............ it is nutritional but not good for a little babies belly

  6. What *should* you give her?  Nothing at all, except formula or breastmilk.  A 15 week old is much too young for solids, and the fact that you 'want' to give her other foods doesn't mean they will benefit her in any way.  Rather, they will put her at increased risk for allergies, obesity, choking, poor nutrition, and many other problems.

All a 3 1/2 month old needs is milk, and if she needs 5 ounces every 2-3 hours, that's what you give her.  Replacing a complete food (formula) with applesauce or rice flour acheives nothing.

(If you are set on giving solids, you can give her anything.  All baby cereals and first foods are about equal in allergy risk, digestibility, and nutrition.)

  7. its way too early, there's no rush!

i posted a ques a couple of days ago on recipes and i went out n purchased this book which also states NOT to give anything but formula or breastmilk until 6 months, it says definatly not to before 17 weeks.

this book is amazing! it has all sorts of recipes for kids starting from the weaning stage, it's called "the BIG book of RECIPES FOR BABIES, TODDLERS & CHILDREN" by Bridget Wardley and Judy More.

    gud luck x

  8. Try her with the baby's 1st foods jar foods...do veggies first as they are less sweet, if you give them fruit off the bat they may reject the veggies. Wait on fruit for awhile. Make sure you do one food at a time for about a week or so, just to make sure she doesn't have allergies.

Sweet potatoes, peas, green beans, etc...

My daughter's pediatrician recommended starting rice cereal and then first foods between 4-6 mths of age. 15 weeks is practically 4 months, so if she has been tolerating the rice cereal fine then it would probably be safe to introduce a vegetable next.
