What foods spring to mind when you hear the phrase "Vegetarian Breakfast"?

Any ideas ?

mentioning kippers, black pudding, bacon, sausages or any meat product will make you look silly so please don't bother.

My scrumptious weekend breakfast includes scrambled tofu with sundried tomatoes and spinach, home fries, apple sage seitan sausages and oj.

Weekdays, it's more like toast with peanut butter and fruit.

My breakfast sounds a bit boring but...

I have cereal with soya 'milk' and some fruit. If I'm really hungry I'll have some wholemeal toast.

When I think of a vegetarian breakfast, I seem to think of veggie sausages, with eggs and baked beans. I don't know why. It's a very 'english' breakfast. Its not something I would eat though. I prefer cold brekkies (hence the cereal). LOL

One time at a restaurant I got a vegetarian breakfast. It was spinach, tomato, mushrooms on turkish bread. It was really good.

The phrase doesn't make me think of my usual breakfast (grapes, melon and toast this morning) but of the sort of treat I want - but rarely get - if I'm staying in a hotel or B&B.

Veg*n rashers and sausages, mushrooms, toast. And eggs if you eat them - I don't.

Not healthy, not an everyday thing, but just what everybody else gets when they stay at such places.

And vegan margarine to go with the toast and soya milk for the cereal would make it perfect.

Oh, and Marmite.

I think of oats or porridge with fruit, bananas, apple and cinnamon, dried fruits apricots, saltanas, nuts and seeds.

Toast with peanut butter, home made jams, cinnamon, banana slices.

Fruit salad, tofu and veggie scramble, vegan pancakes, waffles or cereal.

So much food yummy :)

Offhand,  I could think of eggs and toast, fruit/tomatoes, cheese , cereal with vegetarian "milk", juice, coffee,tea...

I don't eat breakfast too often myself and pretty much limit myself to fruit smoothies and cereal or toast when I do.

Maybe some quinoa with raisins, oatmeal, blueberry-banana walnut pancakes (on a sunday, maybe), scrambled tofu, vanilla nut granola (with cranberries).

Fruits of all sorts, actually - berries, melons, citrus fruits.

Juices, soy milk.

Oatmeal, cream of wheat (Farina?), grits.

Puffed rice, puffed kamut, puffed wheat.

Big fluffy vegan pancakes with real maple syrup!

Vegan Belgian waffles, loaded with Soyatoo whip and tons of fruits!

Why did I go to school without eating breakfast? Why do you torment me, Michael H. :(
