What forces cause the Oort cloud to concentrate.?

Are interstellar winds working against solar winds responsible for this oort cloud concentration? Why is this cloud not more dispersed?

  1. gravity from the sun and all the other objects in our solar system is keeping the oort cloud from dispersing. it is like the way all of the stars and stuff keep the galaxy from dispersing


  2. The Oort cloud surrounds the Sun at a distance of 20,000 to 100,000 AU from the Sun.  1AU = 150,000,000km(approximately), about 500 seconds (8.3 minutes) of light travel. or between 3 and 15 billion km.

    The Oort cloud is not concentrated by interstellar winds, but by gravitational attraction, sending comets into the Suns vicinity at the rate of anywhere between 50-500 per year.
