  1. Yeah it depends on which state. Victorian schools play AFL(Aussie Rules) and Queensland and New South Wales schools will play Rugby League and Union. At my school we play union(in Queensland). Union is more popular than league in private schools, however some private schools play both.

  2. It's pretty obvious that none of the answers above are from Australians.

The code of rugby played depends on (a) what state the school is in, and (b) whether the school is public or private.

In NSW, Qld and to a lesser extent the ACT, private schools play rugby union. Same can be said for WA private schools, although they also play Aussie Rules as their main sport.

Public schools (generally speaking) play rugby league.

However, there are some private schools (particularly in Sydney) that play rugby league (Patrician Brothers fairfield springs to mind)

NOTE TO IGVIN - there are 13 players in a rugby league team..............

  3. Australian rules football.

  4. Australian rules football

  5. first off Aussie rules foot ball is nothing like rugby and your an idiot for thinking so.

rugby is more or less the same around the world, but there are different types. Union has 15 players on each team. league has 11 or 12  and then there is 7's which has 7 players. rugby union is the most popular, televised that is.
